We train our apprentices.
Finally: School is almost over and you have (as good as) your leaving certificate in your pocket. But what comes next?

An apprenticeship in the Mahnke Group will open up a lot of chances and opportunities for you because we back on well-founded vocational training and support persons who are young and curious when they make a start in their working life.

With us you can complete an apprenticeship as business person in wholesale and retail trade, special field wholesaling, or an apprenticeship as business person for forwarding and logistics.

The apprenticeship lasts three years and starts on 1st August of each year. In certain cases (for persons having an adequate qualification) shortening of the period to two years is possible.
As an apprentice you will be working actively, will increase your self-sufficiency and – via your own successes – solidify what you have learnt. The training is carried out in co-operation with local public training programmes. In addition we offer our apprentices a weekly English course. Towards the end of their apprenticeship our apprentices have the opportunity to come together as a learning group once a week and in the final phase of your apprenticeship you will take part in an examination preparation course.
In our monthly apprenticeship café we meet together with all the apprentices. Here we discuss general matters and also specially worked-out themes in connection with the apprenticeship. In addition to all these offers we go on an outing together once a year. In one year this might be a visit to a works or other enterprise while in another year we might visit a trade fair.

During the complete period of your apprenticeship a member of the human resources department will be available for you as a personal contact.

Tips for your application for an apprenticeship place

You would like to apply for an apprenticeship place with us?

We are pleased to hear this. So that your application gets off to a good start with us, please observe one or two tips.

The most important thing: Apply in good time!

Your application should reach us by not later than March of the year in which the apprenticeship should start.

There are two ways of applying. Either you apply online or you prepare a portfolio for us and send this to us by post with your documents.

Both ways require a certain amount of preparation.

You should have the following documents ready – their form depending on whether you apply digitally online or in paper form.

• Cover letter for your application
• Curriculum vitae
• Copies of your certificates (no originals)
• Additional qualifications
